Networking & Brokerage

Participation in FP7 is a matter of cooperation between countries and organisations; there is no FP7 project proposal without at least 3 partners from 3 different countries (EU MS/ FP7 AC).
In the proposal preparation phase, the project consortium building is a fundamental activity since winning consortia need to prove complementarity in terms of  expertise, disciplines, geography,  organisation types (e.g. academia, SMEs, etc), involved human resources.

WINS-ICT fosters partnership creation and consortium building by organising networking and brokerage sessions aside major ICT events in Europe.
Full financial support to participation is available for a certain number of WBC ICT researchers.
These will be identified by WINS-ICT during the project “coaching phase” and selected on the base of their project ideas and research capacity.

Depending on type, the networking and brokerage events offer to the participating WBC researchers the opportunity to meet with representatives of other organizations, to present themselves, their expertise and their project ideas.
In this activity WINS-ICT closely collaborates with ICT-WEB-PROMS.

WINS-ICT has actively attended the following EU events.
NO further networking or brokerage events are envisaged.

  • ICT 2010: Digitally Driven  (Europe's most visible forum for ICT research and innovation 27-29 September, Brussels, Belgium) with a joint stand with ICT-WEB-PROMS and a networking session that provided for brokerage opportunities not only with EU ICT counterparts but also with ICT researchers coming from the Eastern Europe.
